Rockstar Games dated Grand Theft Auto VI 19 November 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders are open. That's the living-room news. The Standard cart is US$79.99. The Ultimate cart is US$99.99. A Windows date is not on the site. Nintendo's Switch 2 is not on the site either.
Take-Two Interactive's 24 June 2026 release said pre-orders would begin on 25 June at midnight local time. They did. Physical boxes hold a download code, not a disc. Pre-loading starts 12 November. The machines on the box are the two current living-room boxes. Not a PC. Not a handheld.
The official Rockstar page still prints two platforms and one date. PlayStation 5. Xbox Series X|S. 19 November 2026. Pre-Order Now is the button. Take-Two's sentence on 24 June put the Standard list at US$79.99. The Verge, Consequence, MonsterVine, and Windows Central all printed US$99.99 for Ultimate the same week. About US$80 and about US$100 is the round talk. The filed numbers are US$79.99 and US$99.99.

On an Australian storefront the Standard list is AU$129.95. Ultimate is AU$159.95, digital only, on the PlayStation Store and the Xbox store. GamesRadar Australia and Man of Many both printed those figures. Windows Central put the United Kingdom Standard at £69.99 and Ultimate at £89.99. Those are regional shelf prices, the ones the shops printed, not a conversion cooked on the back of an envelope.
Want a disc in the box? You will not get one. Rockstar's own pre-order note said the physical version contains a download code inside the box and would be available from 12 November 2026 to support pre-loading. Digital pre-orders pre-load on the same day. Launch remains 19 November. BBC, IGN, GamesRadar, and The Verge all filed the code-in-a-box fact on 24 June. The object on a shop shelf is a carton and a code. The install still happens on the machine you already own.
Pre-order, or buy before 20 November, and Rockstar includes the Vintage Vice City Pack. The Verge described it as in-game items with nods to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City: vehicles, weapon patterns, hairstyles. Digital pre-orders also include one month of GTA+, redeemable immediately, a membership for Grand Theft Auto V's online mode that The Verge priced at US$7.99 a month. Those are shop extras on the way to November. They are not a review of a trailer.
Ultimate is a digital object. The Verge said it is only available digitally from PlayStation or Xbox. Windows Central said there is no physical Ultimate carton at this check, and a Standard owner can take a post-launch upgrade. Rockstar's own page calls Ultimate an exclusive collection of items threaded across Jason and Lucia's story. That is a catalogue, not a night you have played.
Where do you put the money. Digitally: PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Store. Physically: participating retailers. In Australia that has included EB Games, JB Hi-Fi, Amazon, and the two console shops. Ultimate stays on the digital stores. There are no store-exclusive trinkets. The Verge said you can buy from wherever you prefer without missing a pack.
The cart is a single-player action-adventure. Rockstar's 24 June copy called it a single-player experience. IGN reported the same confirmation. Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos are the named pair. The map is the fictional state of Leonida, with Vice City inside it. Rockstar's own materials still list only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with no Windows release scheduled as of September 2026. That line matches the official site. The living-room date is the news. The state on the box is Florida by another name. I'm not walking the second trailer as if it were a review.
A PC cart is expected the way Rockstar's last big games reached Windows: later, and without a date on the current page. Take-Two chief executive Strauss Zelnick, in a Bloomberg interview reported by Gadgets 360, called console players the core consumer. He noted that PC can be 45 to 50 percent of sales on a major release and still launched this one on consoles first. We'll see how it works out, he said. Later is not 19 November. Later is not a calendar square you can circle.
Preview nights in Edinburgh ran on a base PlayStation 5 at 30 frames a second. Kinda Funny's Greg Miller and Andy Cortez visited Rockstar North. Rob Nelson, co-studio head, told them the single-player game has no microtransactions: you will not spend real-world money inside that campaign. Push Square and Stevivor filed that. YouTuber Davy Jones, also in the room, said Nelson described the consoles running at 30 frames per second in this development period, and that a 60-frame option at launch or later would need the technical team. Kotaku and Push Square printed that as targeting, not as a locked specification for every machine forever. Nobody is locking a frame rate for your television.
One labelled rumour, and only one. On 26 June 2026 the industry account Nash Weedle posted that technical hurdles on a Nintendo Switch 2 port had been overcome, that subcontracted specialists were on the job, and that the cart would not arrive this year. Vice filed the post the same day and translated it. Neither Rockstar nor Nintendo has confirmed a Switch 2 version. Treat that paragraph as unconfirmed talk until they do. It is not on the pre-order page. It is not a machine you can put a 19 November code on.
Take-Two called early pre-order sales unprecedented and astonishing. The company did not publish a unit count anyone can stand on. The shelf fact is simpler. The button works. The date holds.
Cover art and the two editions landed on 18 June. Pre-orders opened 25 June. An Extended Look went to Netflix on 27 August, then to YouTube. A marketing night is not 19 November. Pre-load is 12 November. Launch is 19 November. Four dates. Two machines. Two prices. A code in a box if you want a carton on a shelf.
Rockstar develops and publishes. Take-Two is the parent. Grand Theft Auto V shipped in 2013. Thirteen years is the gap. None of that changes the living-room fact. You need a PlayStation 5 or an Xbox Series machine, a pre-order or a November purchase, and about eighty or about a hundred US dollars depending on the edition.
Midnight local was how Take-Two opened the shops in June. The download is large enough that boxes and digital pre-load start a week early. Plan the pipe. Plan the disc-less carton if you still want a case. It is a shopping list with a date on it.
19 November 2026. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. US$79.99 and US$99.99. AU$129.95 and AU$159.95 on the Australian digital shelves. Pre-load 12 November. A code in the physical box. Vintage Vice City Pack if you buy before 20 November. One month of GTA+ on a digital pre-order. PC later, no date. Switch 2 unconfirmed. The shelf is open. File it on the games tab. Leave the trailers on the site where Rockstar put them.
